Our Mission

At South Asian Women in Rare, we are creating a space where lived experiences are heard, valued, and celebrated.

This platform was founded to amplify the voices of South Asian women navigating the rare disease world. Whether you are a patient organisation, advocate, parent, researcher, or someone living with a rare condition, these are stories that are too often overlooked or unheard.

Through honest conversations, powerful storytelling, and meaningful community connection, our podcast explores the realities of living with rare conditions while balancing culture, family expectations, healthcare, education, work, and self-identity. We believe that sharing these experiences openly can create understanding, challenge stigma, and remind others that they are not alone.

South Asian Women in Rare is more than a podcast — it is a growing platform for visibility, representation, and connection. By bringing together diverse voices from across the rare disease community, we hope to create conversations that empower, educate, and inspire change.

"Because every story matters. And every voice deserves to be heard."
